HELLO, I'm Hector Castañón.
I'm a passionate
Sr. Training & Instructional Design Specialist
who Designs AND Delivers training solutions.
I bring a unique and well-rounded perspective to training—one shaped by diverse, hands-on experience across the learning and development spectrum.
As a former classroom teacher and part-time university instructor, I have a strong foundation in learning theory, instructional styles, adult learning principles, and classroom management.
In my role as a Senior Training Manager, I’ve learned how to assess and determine the most effective methods for delivering training content.
As a Project Training Manager, I was responsible for planning and executing new hire onboarding, advanced training programs, and national train-the-trainer initiatives—ensuring each was delivered on time and with impact.
As an Instructional Designer and Content Developer, I understand the strategy behind what content is created, why it matters, and how it should be designed for maximum retention and engagement.
And as a former pharmaceutical sales representative, I know firsthand how critical it is for training to be both relevant and actionable—because how content is delivered directly affects how it’s received and applied in the field.
Learning and development isn’t just what I do—it’s what I’m passionate about.
There’s nothing I’d rather be doing.
