Instructional Design & Content Development
Instructional design is rooted in learning theories that emerged in the late 1940s. Since then, models like ADDIE, along with the rise of online learning and content portability, have become integral to modern education and training. A solid understanding of instructional design methodologies is essential, as these theories form its foundation.
Creating effective learning content not only requires familiarity with the tools and applications used to build it but also demands a diverse skill set. Beyond creativity, project management, and communication, an instructional designer must understand how content will be delivered and how its effectiveness will be assessed.
Because learning technologies are constantly evolving, a commitment to ongoing learning is essential. Instructional design is not static—it continues to evolve, and so must the designer. Personally, I strive to grow with every project and role. More often than not, that means learning a new application, exploring a new feature, or adopting a new method to elevate the final product.

Sample Projects
Encompass Communications & Learning

I joined Encompass in September 2020 as a contract Instructional Designer and transitioned to a full-time Senior Instructional Designer by January. During my time with the company, I contributed to over 450 sales training projects, developing materials such as design documents, PowerPoint slide deck with leader’s notes, worksheets, handouts, and posters.
The training content I created supported a variety of learning events, including in-house training, National Sales Meetings, Plan of Action (POA) sessions, product launches, and post-launch initiatives. Topics covered included product knowledge, competitive positioning, clinical insights, selling skills, business acumen, and leadership development.
I’ve developed learning solutions for clients such as Teva, Novo Nordisk, Alexion, Theravance, GSK, and others.
"These are samples of content I created for various clients during my time at Encompass C&L, including PowerPoint slides, posters, worksheets, and coaching guides designed to enhance learning and communication."
HEARING LIFE -
A William Demant Company

My role at Your Hearing Network eventually transitioned into a position at HearingLife, where I led a comprehensive overhaul of the training curriculum—including refreshed slide decks, guides, workbooks, posters, agendas, and videos. I regularly facilitated both remote and in-person training sessions on a monthly basis. My tenure at HearingLife concluded due to organizational changes brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
"These samples highlight instructional materials I designed at HearingLife—videos, slide decks, workbooks, posters, and survey tools—developed to support training initiatives and learner engagement."
YOUR HEARING NETWORK -
A William Demant Company
When I joined William Demant, I began my work with Your Hearing Network (YHN), where I created a new selling skills model called Global Positional Selling (GPS). All training sessions were conducted remotely, and participants were certified using a newly designed evaluation form. Virtual role-play exercises were assessed weekly, with final certification conducted by the President of YHN.
I also developed and delivered training on YHN's services to new hires at Oticon, a sister organization.
"These samples include slide decks, GPS talking points, and role-play certification forms I developed for Your Hearing Network to support training consistency and performance coaching."
DODGE DATA & ANALYTICS

At Dodge, as with Espero, I served as a one-person training team. However, unlike Espero, Dodge had plans to expand both their inside and outside sales teams. I built the entire training program from the ground up—transforming what was traditionally hands-on training into a fully digital experience.
This shift significantly reduced the learning curve from several months to just 2–3 weeks. In addition to the monthly new hire training sessions, I also created ongoing remote learning courses and videos to support continuous education. I introduced the use of a Learning Management System (LMS) to streamline delivery and tracking.
"Featured here are training materials I developed at Dodge Data & Analytics, including self-study modules, training binder, new hire slide decks, and eLearning content, to facilitate internal education."
ESPERO BIOPHARMA (Start-up)
Espero was a pharmaceutical start-up that brought me on to build a comprehensive training program for the upcoming launch of GoNitro, just a few months away. The curriculum covered core topics including basic science, disease state and management, product knowledge, competitive intelligence, and selling skills.
I designed and developed six home study modules, along with key materials such as agendas, calendars, schedules, and welcome packets. The launch workshop featured slide decks, guides, workbooks, handouts, and a detailed agenda.
"Though Espero Biopharma has since closed, these samples reflect the instructional design work I completed for the GoNitro launch—including home study modules, a structured training plan, and clinical education presentations focused on cardiovascular health."
CELGENE CORPORATION -
Now a Bristol Meyers Squibb Company

While I had previously created content for Schering-Plough/Merck, my time at Celgene marked the first opportunity to design and develop comprehensive, large-scale training materials. I created the Consultative Selling Program, which included a slide presentation, participant workbook, and an interactive video built in Articulate Storyline. This program was rolled out company-wide through both live and virtual sessions.
I also developed an advanced follow-up module called Advanced Probing, which was delivered during Phase 2 training and included its own slide deck and participant workbook.
"These samples showcase instructional materials I developed for Celgene, including a Selling Skills training video, an Advanced Probing presentation deck, and participant guides designed to support field team development."
